In Carlos Fernandez’s eighth grade American History class at Raa Middle School, the students don’t raise their hands. They simply press a button, and Fernandez knows exactly who has answered, what they answered and if it was correct.
Last Friday, the conference room at the Temecula Unified School District office was filled with local teachers learning how to use new classroom technology thanks to a generous 2 year federal grant, known as an EETT or Enhancing Education Through Technology grant.
With a device no larger than a remote control, Gulf Elementary School teachers are able to obtain instantaneous student feedback, lesson comprehension, and are able to get even the shyest of students to participate in classroom activities.
Gadget-weary teachers rejoice. The new wireless Q7 Presenter Tablet from Qwizdom combines many tools onto one device. Use the tablet much like an interactive whiteboard, except do it wirelessly from the back of the classroom instead of with your back turned in the front.
