“Though VNCH is 110 years old and well established in eastern Massachusetts, we are always looking for new ways to increase awareness about the high quality of home health care we provide to the patients entrusted to us,” said Visiting Nurse and Community Health’s CEO, Christine Dixon, RN, BSN, MMHC. “Good2gether has definitely provided that venue and, as a non-profit organization, we are sincerely grateful for the $1,000 Do Good New England grant that has been awarded to us.”

Visiting Nurse and Community Health (VNCH) has, for over 100 years, been acknowledged as the preeminent home health care provider in eastern Massachusetts. The agency has a deep-rooted tradition of providing its patients, and the 33 communities it serves, with compassionate, quality home care, and unparalleled health care expertise, an also serves as a community health advocate. For more information: www.TheVisitingNurses.com.

Do Good New England, presented by good2gether, is a grant contest that awards $1,000 each week through May 16th, to New England area nonprofit organizations that join good2gether: a free search and social media Web service that connects people to causes through a broad network of major media outlets, corporate intranets, college/university websites, social networks, and more.
“We’re excited to offer these grants to our community,” said Greg McHale, CEO and Founder of good2gether. “It’s a wonderful way to introduce local organizations to our free service and to directly support the contributions they make to the community.”

This contest is open to all New England area nonprofits that register their organization and enter their up-and-coming events at http://www.good2gether.com/contest.
So you’ve got a philanthropic spirit, huh? Want to rack up those karmic points, helping to make the world a slightly better place tomorrow than it is today? If so, you be interested in this next site, still in beta. The name is DoGood Channel, and it’s purpose is to connect you with non-profits of all areas and all stripes, either physically or monetarily.

Established in conjunction with Good2Gether Inc, a so-called “search and social media Web service” whose intent is to build a database of non-profits through which to direct popular exposure to all such organizations, DoGood Channel allows anyone interested in causes having to do with animal protection and preservation, arts, culture, education, health, politics, and even religion, to discover efforts that they might otherwise never learn about, and interact with such groups. The service is free to both non-profits and the public.
